This is very interesting, Andras. I want to read more about this so I can think of something reasonably intelligent to say about it. To me, the Chintamani stone sounds like the Philospher's Stone. It is held by the bodhisattva's, like Avalokiteshv...

There is a special story about a piece of stone from the Star Sirius. (I was reading upon the Agni Yoga discussion forum). A meteorite stone supposedly, given to Nicholas Roerich, in circumstances hard to verify. While the Chintamani Stone as oth...

By guru you mean a spiritual leader or master? It certainly does seem so...what you are indicating about non-attachment seems relevant.

Great post, andras...we can never really remove the influence of our family and the impact they have on the development of our characters. And I agree that the family is karmic. I think we are given just what we need to develop an awareness of som...

That's probably the origin of it (I didn't make the phrase up, so I'm not sure). There's a lot more on the concept in the "Relationship Theory" essay on this site.

The "ringing the changes" concept could be summarized as "nothing is ever this or that."

Esoteric Accuracy in the Popular Culture

This little post is about the phenomena that from time to time arose my curiosity. It is about the accuracy of the occult in the pop culture in movies, TV shows. Prime example for this is the Matrix, the Star Wars Trilogy and recently coming back to the limelight, the Kung Fu TV show.
I wrote on my blog about the recent events and passing of the star of the series the late David Carradine, who past away on the 4th of this month, in Bangko… Continue

No all families are good however, in any family there are problems and discord. Some families are dysfunctional. What family one gets born into seems like a random chance. If you are in the right family your life will be smooth, conversely if you are born into a dysfunctional family it will be an uphill battle.

Hey Andras-
You know I have been looking for Zanoni for a long time now. For a long time it was not available on amazon.com, so I rather forgot about it. I guess I figured it was out of print. I have not been able to find it anywhere! I just followed the link to your website on YT and found a link for the book (amazon) on your site. I am so thrilled about that! Thank you so much for providing it. I will also download your e-book. Hope you enjoy this forum.
Peace
