"When Myth Incarnates in the Waking World"

A family is a strongest bond between humans. It provides psychological and tangible safety and resources to endure any struggle. No all families are good however, in any family there are problems and discord. Some families are dysfunctional. What family one gets born into seems like a random chance. If you are in the right family your life will be smooth, conversely if you are born into a dysfunctional family it will be an uphill battle.

The family we born into is NEVER random, and it is not by chance. It is out Karmic destiny.

In past lives we somehow created, by acts and thoughts the family we have today. Having a dysfunctional family is not a punishment but a chance to learn from past mistakes and put things right. Often people get into the Teaching who comes from difficult family circumstances. This is quite prevailing yet never perplexing; after all one must leave their family behind and move on. We are all ONE and in reality all connected not only the ones currently in you gene pool by family ties. A cozy karmic family is often comforting yet strangely suffocating and could keep the aspirant from moving onto better pastures.

Advanced spiritual beings usually leave their karmic families and set onto a new course. Of course they will never marry and will not beget children. These things would just hold them back. Responsibility to raise a family and serve god are not mutually excusive but at some level these two destinies part. Advanced Souls are always bachelors. Mundane attachment to families and material things are not of interest to them.

Jesus never married despite the movies and novels portraying Mary Magdalene as Jesus’ wife. Only fiction writers and people in utter lack of understanding basic spiritual laws would come up with stories like this.

Are they without any family? No. While having a Karmic family is not their choice, these advanced beings have a Spiritual family. This bond is by choice and often the bond is stronger than the karmic family’s. A spiritual family can flourish and act in concordance of the desires and wishes of the White Brotherhood.

In a Spiritual family the living arrangement can be in the form of a communal house where costs are kept low and members are never to suffer loneliness and despair. All there is needed is Love.

A Guru is a person who achieved a 4th level of initiation, NOT someone who self-proclaims to be such of a writer who happens to get on Oprah.....these individuals while alive were usually bachelors, I don't suppose ALL of them but there is a definite trend there in my observation.
A guru becomes a master after the 7th(Last) level of initiation commences. Comte St Germain was not married.

By guru you mean a spiritual leader or master? It certainly does seem so...what you are indicating about non-attachment seems relevant.

Great post, andras...we can never really remove the influence of our family and the impact they have on the development of our characters. And I agree that the family is karmic. I think we are given just what we need to develop an awareness of something in our lives. This does not always come to us easily. But the relationships of our families are the root and ground of our entry into this life. I can remember some events that go way back into my childhood that have shaped me into the person I am today, even the most seemingly insignificant things. My (birth) family have always been close in proximity, not cold, but not the touchy feely type either. Quiet, mutual respect is closest to it, drama was keep to a minimum, yet we were not without our difficulties.

I don't know about the advanced souls being bachelors. I think that we are always progressing to a greater and greater awareness no matter how we come to live. It may be that a very developed soul chooses to incarnate into a family situation as a way of having a positive imact on one who needs it.
